In 1989 he graduated from the Department of History and Theory of Art of the Faculty of History of Moscow State University. . In parallel with teaching at Moscow State University, he works at the Orthodox St. Tikhon Humanitarian University (Professor, Head of the Department of Theory and History of Christian Art at the Faculty of Church Arts).
