Abstract

The article attempts to rethink a number of properties that characterize aesthetic activity. In the context of its general characteristics, the question of the relevance of the principle of «disinterest» to it is considered. A hypothesis is expressed about the possibility of giving the concept of «interest» an aesthetic status. Particular attention is paid to shaping in aesthetic activity as a condition for achieving the quality of artistry in the products of aesthetic activity.
