Abstract

Thе paper is devoted to analysis of the social, aesthetic and communicative nature of music, considered in a broad historical context. The publication proposes to reconsider some of the traditional ideas about the art of music, which, with the development of aesthetic theory in recent decades, have turned out to be too narrow.
